TAKE ACTION ACCORDING TO THE SERIOUSNESS OF COVID SYMPTOMS
PATIENTS SHOULD RESPOND TIMELY ACCORDING TO THE SERIOUSNESS OF PANDEMIC
Second Wave pandemic surge has impacted our lives completely and precautions at every moment of life is required to combat with this virus. MOHFW, AIIMS, ICMR and Joint Monitoring group collectively have proclaimed some suggestions to the citizens for taking action as per the severity position of the disease assailed.
Pandemic prone Patients are specifically categorized into three different stages by severity and every stage has its advised steps to follow to combat the virus.
THREE STAGES
1) MILD DISEASE
2) MODERATE DISEASE
3) SEVERE DISEASE
Home isolation and care is more preferable to MILD DISEASE symptom patients as per the suggestion list.
Patients with MODERATE DISEASE are required to be admitted in the Ward which is equipped with specially arranged requisite facilities to tackle the situation.
Patients assailed with SEVERE DISEASE need high attention and ICU admission is mandated to observe the patients constantly.
All Patients are to be very cautious and do exercise their part perfectly to fight the situation. Negligence at any stage is not advisable considering the adverse situations and severe strain of covid. Patients should strictly adhere to the instructions given by MOHFW. Respective procedures to be sincerely followed by patients, Hospitals, care units as per Guidance provided/sop provided in the best interest of citizens health. Mainly Hospitals and Care Units planning to admit patients are required to have proper equipment and sufficient stocks of essential medicines to proceed with treatment.
ICUs and Wards need to take care of below facilities before admitting cases.
1) Oxygen Support
2) Anti-inflammatory therapy
3) Anticoagulation
4) Supporting activities
5) Monitoring
TREATMENT SHOULD BE AT BEST LEVEL AND IF PATIENTS SHOW SOME CLINICAL IMPROVEMENT THEN DISCHARGE PROCESS CAN BE INITIATED.
