UNION GOVERNMENT AND STATE GOVERNMENTS ARE ENSURING THAT MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CITIZENS SHALL BE ABLE TO GET THE VACCINE AT SHORT POSSIBLE TIME
Vaccination Strategy is being implemented by respective Governments to ensure that vaccine pricing is liberalized and accelerated.
Strategy is relied on factual evidence of epidemic diseases and focuses on systematic end-to-end planning.
This strategy encourages all aspects which are in favor of strengthening the system of health and protecting the most vulnerable.
Health Care Workers and Front Line Workers were more focused in the Phase 1 of Vaccination but later in Phase 2 stage Vaccination is proposed to focus more on citizens who are aged above 45 years who are more prone to attack of covid and would severely be impacted.
Once the citizens of age 45 above groups are given vaccine the other age groups will become eligible for getting vaccine as per the strategy.
As per strategy 1st May'2021 would be the date to be declared that citizens of 18 and above are eligible to take vaccine. This would be Phase 3 where the vaccine is given to all eligible citizens and focus is on pricing of the vaccine and its coverage to whole part of the country.
Governments are incentivizing the vaccine manufacturers to rapidly scale up their production and inviting new manufacturers to produce the vaccine as per strategy. Wider the availability of vaccine would result in vaccination coverage at short time to all citizens eligible.
Governments would provide vaccination at free of cost for eligible population groups in all the approved covid vaccination centers which receive doses from Central Governement.
As per strategy States and Union Territories are given freedom to purchase vaccine from manufactures to maintain sufficient stocks in times of necessity.
