Get ready to gain expertise in filing the tax returns on the updated e-filing portal which is to be introduced on 7th June' 2021. A grand go-live upshot of new e-filing portal is going to happen on 7th June' 2021 . Taxpayers, Stakeholders and Officers of Income tax been requested to take a note of the updating activity from the existing portal to whole new portal. Updating activity is scheduled to happen from 1st June' 2021 to 6th June' 2021   which is to happen from 1st June'2021 to 6th June'2021 and the portal would not be in accessible to taxpayers and cannot be able to use during the updating days. Existing portal of Income Tax for return filing is www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in (which would not be available for tax filers during 01/06/2021 to 06/06/2021 ). Taxpayers and officers should be aware that no compliance related activities and proceeding appointments to be fixed on these days. IN VIEW OF SECOND WAVE PANDEMIC SITUATION GST TAXPAYERS CAN NOW BE AT COMFORT OF FILING THE GST FORMS ON RESPECTIVE EXTENDED DATES, ZERO LATE FEES AND LOW INTEREST RATES AS DECIDED BY GOVT.(CBIC) Government has given an opportunity to GST Tax payers to file the returns within extended time. This is the decision taken in favour of taxpayers as relief from the partial lockdowns in respective states along with severe pandemic concerns. VIVAD SE VISHWAS PAYMENT OF AMOUNT CAN BE DONE UPTO 30TH JUNE'2021 WITHOUT ANY FURTHER ATTRACT OF ADDITIONAL AMOUNT Govt of India - Ministry of Finance - Department of Revenue - Central Board of Direct Taxes has extended time for payment of amount on account of Vivad Se Vishwas scheme till 30th June'2021. Previously given last date for payment is going to expire on 30th April' 2021 but due to the surge in covid cases in the country at present and taxpayers are facing many difficulties in performing timely actions and make payments. Various representations were made to the ministry by stakeholders to the consider the situation and extend the deadlines.
